Garden of the Gods

Katherine and I went down to the Garden of the Gods since we had to go to her parents house. It was a few hours out of the way, but neither of us had been there in such a long time we figured we would go for an afternoon. It was a lot smaller than I remember it being, but still pretty interesting place.

Road Trip to Moab

On the trip down to Moab, Katherine and I stopped at Dewy Bridge. It was about 50 miles out of Moab, and we thought we would stop to stretch our legs. On the plaque just off the road, it says that this bridge was built in 1916 to support 6 horses, 3 wagons, and 9,000 pounds of freight. This is Utah's longest suspension bridge (as is) - which kind of seems sad considering how small it really is.

Arches National Park (Day 1)

The first place we went was double arch. There were several arches in the area (so we could park and hike around) and we went here first because the map suggested we take photos here in the morning (since the sun would be on the main face of the arch). You can see why it's called double arch. It was a fairly short hike to it.

Arches (Day 2) and Canyonlands

On our second day, We went back into arches and quickly stopped to take photos of the 3 Gospels. We needed to take these photos in the morning (so the sun was lighting it up), so we pulled off the side of the road, took a few photos, and kept going to our destination.
