Arches (Day 2) and Canyonlands
On our second day, We went back into arches and quickly stopped to take photos of the 3 Gospels. We needed to take these photos in the morning (so the sun was lighting it up), so we pulled off the side of the road, took a few photos, and kept going to our destination.

The 3 Gospels
On our second day, We went back into arches and quickly stopped to take photos of the 3 Gospels. We needed to take these photos in the morning (so the sun was lighting it up), so we pulled off the side of the road, took a few photos, and kept going to our destination.

Landscape Arch
Our first real destination for the day was the Devils Garden loop. It was the longest hike in the park (that was on the map), and we thought we would get to it before it got really hot in the middle of the afternoon (both days were mid 90's in the early afternoon). On the hiking trail to get to Devils Garden loop was Landscape Arch. It was probably only a half-mile from the parking lot (so there were a lot of people), but it was one of the cooler arches because it looked so thin and brittle.

Onward to Double O Arch
We kept hiking, and another mile we found Double O Arch. Along the way there were so many spots to stop and take photos.

Happy Hiker

Double O Arch
Once we got to the arch, we sat and relaxed a bit. Unfortunately there was a middle school class when we got there and they were just obnoxious. They were running around screaming and being rude. If they weren't there, I probably would have liked that arch the best. At least the hike was nice!

Backside of Double O Arch

Partition Arch
After leaving Double O Arch, we hiked to Partition Arch, which was on the way back to the parking lot (we sat the trail branch on our way up, but we decided to skip it for now).

Navajo Arch
Navajo Arch was just a short hike off of partition arch. One of the less impressive arches, but still kind of cool.

Dead Tree

Hanging in There

Holes in the Rocks

Pealing
Since the beginning of this trip, I wanted to take a photo like this! I think it's so cool how mud dries like this in the desert.

Sand Dune Arch
The name of this arch is spot on. We hiked on what felt like a beach to get to this arch!

Blue Skies

Lots of Flowers
There were a lot of flowers around. I had to wait this long to take the photo because most of the flowers are very low to the ground and wouldn't produce photos like this!

Broken Arch
This was the only arch that was completely empty when we got there. It only lasted for about 5 minutes, but that was still really nice!

Park Avenue

The Entrance
We took the first photo we should have taken at the end. That's because everyone was surrounding this sign at the front in the mornings!

Shafer Trail - Canyonlands
This is Shafer Trail, Katherine said that the elevation drop just in the switchbacks that you see is more than 3000 ft! That is crazy!!!

Upheaval Dome
The colors threw me off quite a bit. I wasn't expecting anything like this, but then again I didn't really know what to expect. The center is indeed white, and is a salt.
