Katherine and I made some apple roses from the instructions we found here. We made 2 batches, the first of which only one survived. The second batch, all but 1 survived. We got better at making them.

It's that time of year again! I found this recipe here. It's a cream cheese peanut butter pie, and it was delicious.

On our way to California from Denver, we flew with Trixie, the fox. The flight was pretty calm and we got there right on time.

Katherine and I got to Disney Land early both days we went. We decided to go into California Adventure first, in hopes that we could get some fast passes to some of Katherine's favorite rides. We got in and evened up doing 3 rides within the first hour, which is very impressive.

On the second full day in California, Katherine and I drove to Universal Studios. It was convenient because they opened an hour later than Disneyland, and it was an hour drive to Universal. We got to Universal when it opened and I took some photos of the entrance.

It's amazing how no one is in front of the castle, but that's because the park isn't open yet! They let you through the gates 30 minutes early, and stack you in line near all the shops until 9am when they let you run through the park.
