Road Trip to Moab
On the trip down to Moab, Katherine and I stopped at Dewy Bridge. It was about 50 miles out of Moab, and we thought we would stop to stretch our legs. On the plaque just off the road, it says that this bridge was built in 1916 to support 6 horses, 3 wagons, and 9,000 pounds of freight. This is Utah's longest suspension bridge (as is) - which kind of seems sad considering how small it really is.

Fallen Apart
The bridge is impassible, however there is a more modern bridge just to the right of this photo. Kind of neat that it's still all here and that is wasn't taken down.

The area, all of Moab too, were full of lizards. I rand around chasing this one for about 5 minutes while Katherine watched me follow it through my lens. I must have looked crazy!
Colorado River
We took an odd route to Moab. We took a road off the highway with warnings saying that the road was no longer taken care of by the state (there were no signs or lines on the road). That road took us to Highway 128, which follows the Colorado river and directly into Moab. Along that road, there were a lot of rafters and a lot of places to pull off and take photos. I figured that I would take a panorama as the Colorado river bends around. This is just the first of many panoramas on this trip

When we got into Moab, we went into Arches and drove through real quick. The pass to get in was good for 10 days, so we got it and held on to it. We just drove through and looked, but I didn't take any photos (there was plenty of time to do that the next few days!). Then, we drove about 25 miles into Canyonlands National Park. They weren't open, so we couldn't go in, but we found a few places to pull off the road to the entrance and take some photos.
