Katherine and I were on our way home from somewhere when we saw an owl on a light post just outside our apartment complex. We got home and I grabbed my camera and ran. It was getting dark and I didn't grab my tripod (mistake #1). I also didn't check my camera settings and later realized I shot all the photos in jpeg instead of in a raw format to allow for better post-processing. Maybe next time.
