Lily Mountain
This weekend Brittany and Josh invited me to go hiking with them. It was a great idea, but a poorly executed one because it's labor day weekend. We go to the parking lot for the shuttle in Rocky Mountain National Park a little after 9 and it was just barely too late to get a parking spot. So we improvised and when to Lilly Mountain instead which is outside of the tool gate for the park and didn't have many tourists. I was surprised by how empty the hike was, but I'm not complaining!

Tall and Dead
The sky was pretty clear when we started. There was a slight chance of rain in the early afternoon so I was keeping an eye on the clouds.

Bright Clouds
Usually HDR photos don't work out in the mountains because there's too much detail on the trees, but for some reason, this photo works pretty well as HDR

Looking Down
We took a break next to a big boulder and I decided to take a photo of my hiking partners.

We made it to the end, or where we thought the end was (the trail wasn't marked too well towards the end). I liked the textures on this rock and decided it would make a great foreground for the mountains to the West.

South Estes
Lilly Mountain is off to the South of Estes which gives some different perspectives on the town.

Summit Panorama
This panorama doesn't really make it look like we summited. But we weren't actually too sure if we did or not anyway with the lack of trail markers at the end of the hike.
