Denver Zoo
Katherine and I went to the Denver Zoo for Mike's Camera's test drive where they let you rent camera equipment for free! In total I was able to rent approximately $26,000! I rented 2 different bodies and 4 lenses, and got to use two very nice lenses that were at different areas at the zoo. The equipment I got to use is below:
    - Canon D5 Mark III Body
    - Canon D7 Mark II Body
    - Canon EF 70-300mm f/4.5-5.6 IS USM
    - Canon EF-S 18-135mm f/3.5-5.6 IS
    - Tamron 16-300mm f/3.5-6.3 Di II VC
    - Tamron SP 150-600mm f/5-6.3 Di VC USD
    - Canon EF 500mm f/4L IS II USM (at fixed locations around the zoo)
    - Canon EF 400mm f/2.8L IS USM (at fixed locations around the zoo)

Up the Back
This was taken with a Canon EF 400mm lens that was stationed at the giraffes when I got there. It was a fixed zoom which worked in my favor for this shot.

Beat Up Horns

Nose Lick
I don't know why giraffes do this but they do it a lot.

Play Time
These lion cubs were very playful all day. Running around and chasing each other and making for great photos!

Resting
I got 2 great smiles out of these cubs!

Through the Fence
You can see the fence lines just a little bit in this photo. They keep the leopard behind a fence which is too bad because I really like taking pictures of the leopards!

Rental
Katherine rented equipment with me all day

Attention Seeker
This peacock was just looking for attention. He stayed like this for 10 minutes in an area where everyone was looking at him. Show off.

Death Stare
This peacock let me get pretty close to it's face. I had a fairly lengthy zoom lens but I was probably only a foot or two away from the bird.

Walking Away

Long Talon

Baby Feathers
This baby bird is almost grown up, you can see a lot of the colors poking through the baby feathers. He had a pretty quiet voice but I'm sure it will get louder!

Red
I really liked this lorikeet because of the red and blue feathers.

Flight From Water
I spent a long time taking pictures of the birds in the bird bath. I've never seen them clean themselves before and I think I got some great shots of them!

All Clean

Small Flowers
There were a lot of flowers and trees around the zoo. I wanted to rent a macro lens at some point but I ran out of time and we were both too tired to keep renting. I got some good shots with the equipment I did have though.

Purple Lilac

Lions of the Flowers
Don't these flowers look like lions?

Sweet Nectar

Coming in for Landing

On the Puffball
I'm not sure what these flowers are called but they do look like puffballs.

Walking Through the Tree

Grooming
The black monkey didn't really care to be groomed, and the white monkey tried really hard to keep grooming him. Took this photo with one of the fixed lens that was at the zoo. Luckily for me it was the right zoom length to get a perfectly framed shot!

Hanging

Redneck

Submurging

Sea Lion
I was able to get a pretty good photo of the sea lion with a Tamron 150-600mm lens. It was a pretty heavy lens, so I have a lot of photos like this but not framed very well. I should have rented or brought a tripod!

Ram
I always like taking pictures of the sheep because the ram was my college mascot!

Couple of Goose Butts
This is such a cute shot of two baby goslings eating some food.

Hairy
I like the randomness of the hair on these goslings.

High Brows
This monkey was sitting and raising it's eyebrows every few seconds. He looks very concerned at whatever he is looking at!
