Reflections in the Park

Katherine and I went to Reflections in the Park at Louis Murphy Park in Dubuque. We didn't know what it was going to be but it was pretty cool. You paid admission to drive through the park and look at all the displays. We got out of the car a few times (although I don't think you are supposed to get out of your car). I brought my tripod and quickly tried to take a few shots. I got some good ones, but more bad ones than I wish. This specific display is a recreation of the clock tower that is in downtown Dubuque.

Downtown

Only in Iowa

While driving through the display we saw many local-sponsored displays, including John Deere. There was also a wheel loader that the bucket moved up and down. It was cool to see some lights set up in ways we were not familiar with before.

Tunnel of Lights

Towards the end of the park there was a tunnel of lights that were all flashing as you drove through it. It was really cool so I knew I had to stop and take some photos. I had to wait quite a while before I could get a shot without a car in the picture.

Santa

There were also a lot of typical displays that were still sponsored by local businesses, but I'm glad it wasn't completely all just a giant advertisement.
