Clear SkiesWe were planning on going to the House on the Rock on Saturday, but we had some pretty intense storms. We were supposed to get golf ball sized hail, but we didn't - luckily. So on the drive down we were both happy to see that there was little chance for bad weather.Fierce DragonsThe driveway into the parking lot was filled with these little dragons on top of giant planters. Water LiliesTo get to the first section of the house, we had to walk though a Japanese water garden.Transparent WingsFlowing WaterThere were little waterfalls all over the gardens. On the BridgeOne of the cool things I like about my new camera is that it has wireless capabilities. I was able to connect my phone to my camera and remotely take this photo from my phone. Unfortunately it lost the wireless connection right after I took this shot, and it takes a little bit of time getting the camera connected. But overall it's a nice feature if you don't have to go long distances with it. Water DragonLuckily this dragon was shooting out water and not fire. But the walls just get smaller and smaller as you go down the hallway, making it look like it goes on infinitely. It's a pretty neat architectural idea. First Musical ContraptionThis might look like an image, but they are real instruments. They are rigged with contraptions to make them automatically play. Similar to a player piano, there were a bunch of mechanical arms that would play the instruments. This was the smallest musical contraption hat we saw, and the first one we saw. Tile CarThis car is completely covered in tile. It is a 1963 Lincoln Continental. The car was so heavy with the tile that it put an overload on the shocks. The radiator was designed after the Rolls-Royce radiator. The inside is covered in tile as well, including a tile dashboard and tile window panels. One ton of weight was added to the car from the tiles. The total car weight is three tons. Grenadier de la Garde SaxeTitanicThis Titanic replica was probably 8 feet long. It shows where the iceberg hit the side of the ship.Fancy CeilingsWrinkled ManuscriptThis was a really cool player piano, mainly because all the wrinkled paper in the top was the manuscript for the piano to play. As it played, it shoved the paper into the top on the right side, and it pulled it from the left. Not only that, but there was an entire marching band to the right of this photo that played with them. Because of the poor lighting inside the house (everywhere), taking pictures of it was hard. I didn't like how any of them turned out with the flash on, so here's one that is pretty grainy. We figured we would stop and take some pictures on the way back - not that I didn't have enough already. Inside the PlaneThere were some steps leading into the plane that looked like it was for public use, so we went on inside. It was really hot and filled with a lot of bird poop.
