Devils Backbone, Loveland, Colorado
A few weeks ago while Katherine and I were driving up to go camping, we saw these weird rocks. We found out they are devils backbone, and actually span from Loveland to Fort Collins in a 14 mile trail (one way). We didn't hike the 14 mile trail, but we did do a small 2.5 mile loop.

Brittle
There were signs posted saying not to climb on the rocks because they are brittle. It's too bad, because these would be really fun to climb. Oh well.

Fields of Grass
There was a lot of grass all around. Unfortunately, there were massive houses on both sides, but I managed to get a photo without them in the background.

Camera Timers are the Best
Just about everywhere we go, Katherine and I always take some photos together. I used a mini tripod and set it up on a wooden fence post. I think it turned out quite well!

Keyhole
The backbone was filled with little hole in it. It's actually quite impressive that it hasn't collapsed. Or maybe it has and it's just so large that I didn't notice. This area is called the keyhole. There were a few benches and a nice shaded area.

Another Timed Shot
This area was really fun to play around. Even though we were not supposed to, we climbed around a little.
