Astrophotography at Valley View
The second night we were at Valley View Hot Springs, I got up to do some more astrophotography. Since the previous night was a little cloudy, I was hoping for better conditions. Although the sky was much clearer on the second night, it was also just a little breezy. With below-freezing temperatures, the slight breeze was a little difficult to stay out too long.
I ended up going back to the cabin before the moon fully set, which is too bad since it washed out a lot of the sky. BUt I still got some decent photos. I've definitely had better astrophotograph shoots than this one, but it was still fun.
Rising Galaxy
Even though the moon was still out, the MIlky Way was still visible.

Swirling Around the North Star
This was a 17-minute exposure with my 14mm lens at f/2.8 and ISO of 400. This was taken with my old camera, a Canon T6s.
Along the Dirt Road
There is a hiking trail (and road access) to the North. You can see a little bit of the Milky Way cluster in this photo.
Light on the Horizon
The light on the horizon is from the rising Milky Way which provided not only light but some interesting colors in this swirling photo. This was a 20 minute exposure at ISO 400 and f/2.8 on my old T6s Camera
