Lunar Eclipse and Pi(e)
Around midnight leading into March 14th the moon was eclipsed by Earth's shadow. I woke up a little before midnight and spent an hour watching it happen. By the time the moon was in full totality, the clouds were too substantial to see much, which was unfortunate to not see the coolest part. But it was neat to watch the alignment happen.
Mid-Eclipse
This photo was taken around midnight when the moon was a little over half-eclipsed by Earth's Shadow
Near Totality
Since there was a layer of clouds, the totality photos didn't turn up great. In fact, I couldn't even see this with my eyes, it was only captured on the camera with a longer exposure that left it a little blurry. But it was cool to capture some of the red color that only appears in totality.
Pi Day
Today was also pi day, and as such I made a pie that Crimson was very interested in eating.
