Chautauqua
Katherine and I drove up to Boulder for the afternoon. We grabbed a sandwich on the way for a quick picnic before a short hike.

Flatirons
Chautauqua is such a great place to hike because the beginning of the hike always starts out with this view.

Flatiron #1
I think this is flatiron #1 (the North-most flatiron).

Wild Butterfly
I like taking photos of natural insects, especially butterflies.

Blurred Clouds
I created this photo in a pretty unique way. This photo was actually taken as a long exposure in the middle of the day in full sunlight. I was able to do this by using a piece of weld hood glass that I picked up at a hardware store. Using my 3D printer I created a removable lens for the weld glass so I could take long exposures in the middle of the day. I got this idea from DIY photography which just used some rubber bands to fix the weld glass to the lens.

Colored
This is the same photo in the previous photo except in color. I decided to post both because the color one doesn't have perfect colors in it. The weld glass that I used to make this a long exposure tints the photos a very nice teal color, and I didn't have anything to correct the white balance with.

Dead Branch
When we reached a good break point (from the extremely steep hill) we stopped and I noticed a tree filled with spider webs. I tarted taking pictures and Katherine criticized me for taking pictures of the one dead thing on our hike of beautiful nature.
