Arthur's RockPosted: June 05, 2016Katherine and I went up to Lory State Park for a morning hike to Arthur's Rock. Neither of us had hiked it before so we thought we'd give it a try!NeedlesGreen DayEverything was so green on our hike. At the TopWe took several selfies at the top of Arthur's Rock. I brought a travel tripod with me and was able to set it up at the top. From the TopI took a few panorama photos at the top and this one turned out the best. I Made It!Katherine is celebrating making it up to the top. VictoryWe were so happy when we made it to the top! It wasn't that long of a hike but it was a pretty large elevation gain in such a short distance.Above the CloudsGreen MountainsThe mountains behind Lory State Park were really green! I was expecting most of the trees to be burned from the fires a few years back. Trail FlowersSpring Green FieldEnd of HikeThis was the result at the end of our hikeWhite Wild FlowersThere was a patch of white wild flowers and this random bunch of yellow flowers. I thought it was a little weird!Afternoon HikeAfter our hike up Arthur's Rock we had a picnic and then went on this very short "hike". It was 0.1 miles long and led us to a waterfall. White BlossomsI'm not sure what kind of tree this is, but I don't think I've ever found flowers on a tree like this before. They were so perfectly white!Rock WallAt the end of the trail to the waterfall there were tall rock walls on all sides of us (except the way we came in obviously).Wet FeetKatherine decided to dip her feet in the water. Since this is water coming from snow melt in the mountains it was really cols, even though it was a pretty warm day outside!
