Dixie Jewett b.1944
Found objects, junk art, metal assemblage, bricolage...
Call it what you will, if you lost something or just tossed it aside, you might find it here.
Neighbors, friends, and local junkyards keep Dixie Jewett amply supplied with rustling pieces for her welded sculptures. Leanin' Tree furnished horseshoes and a few parts from farm implements parked on the property for forty years; all are incorporated in this unique horse. Formerly a bush piot in Alaska, Jewett has applied her individualistic style to metal art forms since 1993.
