Vintage Torque Fest 2015

While I was installing equipment for work in a nearby town, one of the guys I was working with told me that I should check out the Vintage Torque Fest. Turns out, even though at the time I was 80 miles from home, the festival was within walking distance of my apartment. I figured that I could go down there for the afternoon and take some pictures of some cars if nothing else. The entry went to a charitable organization, so it was a win-win - I got to see some cool cars, and Helping Hannah's Heart got a donation.

South Platt River at Chatfield

We went down to Chatfield, but because of the weather, we didn't really stay out too long and didn't go very far. We went because of all the rain that area had been getting, and as you can see, the river is flowing pretty high.

Engagement

This jewelry armoire was my graduation gift to Katherine. I bought it several weeks in advance and slowly filled it up with jewelry that I knew she would like. I knew that once she graduated, she would start wearing real jewelry to work. Her current jewelry box was small and could use an upgrade. The box was waiting for her upon her arrival from the long road trip from Colorado to Iowa for her to move in with me.

Eagle Point Park

Katherine and I went up to Eagle Point Park in Dubuque. It is a massive park that you can drive into (for $1) or walk into for free. There are places for BBQ's, picnics, events, tennis, and even places you can play a game of horseshoes.
