Katherine and I celebrated the 4th of July 2 days early at her parent's house because we both have to work the day after the 4th. This way we get to light off fireworks and get to bed at a reasonable time the day before work.

This weekend was the 28th annual Triple Bypass bicycle ride that took bicyclists 120 miles up and over Vail, Loveland, and Juniper Pass. On Saturday, July 9th, riders started in Evergreen and rode over Juniper Pass (11,104 ft.), Loveland Pass (11,990 ft.), and Vail Pass (10,560 ft.) and finished in Avon. On Sunday, July 10th, riders went the opposite direction starting in Avon and ending in Evergreen. Will does this ride almost every year and Katherine wanted to see him ride. We woke up early (4:30am - yuck!) to get Will to the start of the ride by 5:30. He completed in just under 9.5 hours - very impressive!

On our way home from watching Will ride the Triple Bypass, Katherine, her parents, and I stopped at the Georgetown Loop Railroad and rode the train.

Katherine and I decided to go to the CSU Trial Gardens in Fort Collins. Because the days have been pretty hot here we decided to go in the morning. We woke up, ate some breakfast, and we were at the gardens by 9am. We were there about an hour and by the time we left it was starting to get a little toasty and a lot more people were showing up! Good thing we got there early!

This weekend was Katherine's bridal shower. I was told I had to go just to meet her aunt who can't make it to the wedding and lives out of state. Since it was a bridal shower and I'm not a female, I decided to leave. Luckily for me, we saw a car show on the drive down to the bridal shower and figured going to a car show with my future father-in-law would be much more fun.

After the bridal shower we all went up to Daniel's park and had some dinner. These photos were taken on July 30th, but I uploaded them to July 31st because I already had an album on the 30th.
