The Extruders

These are the 2 extruders I have on my printer. The big black and gray blocks are the stepper motors which drive the plastic into the heaters, and the red tubes at the bottom are the heaters. The silver thing on the right hand side (with the orange cap) is an induction proximity sensor which is used for checking the levelness of the bed. The extruder heads need to be at a precise location off the surface of the bed to get a good print, so the induction sensor probes the bed before the print and automatically adjusts the extruder head heights throughout the entire print.
