Picking out the Pumpkins
Katherine and I decided to carve some pumpkins while I was in town. It was a little early to carve them since they will probably be rotten before Halloween, but it was still fun to do since I was in town.
At the patch, they had a pumpkin chunker. While Katherine and I were picking our pumpkin, we saw it fire off and it hit the ground probably 30 feet from us since they fired towards the pumpkin patch (seems like a good idea...?). You had to pay $5 to get it to launch. There were some other people there that wanted to see it and they paid while we watched (we're just a bunch of free loaders).
For $2, you got 3 shots at nailing a pumpkin with a piece of corn. The gun used compressed air and there was a little finger trigger that made it shoot. It was pretty fun, it's not every day you get to shoot corn at pumpkins. We both missed, but it was still pretty fun.
Katherine and I carved our pumpkins that evening. It was a lot of fun, I haven't carved a pumpkin since freshman year in the dorms. Mine is on the right and hers is on the left.
